Bringing Community Together

We believe bringing communities together provides opportunities for support and connections for all. We know that the best solutions for equality and justice come directly from community, so we create occasions for communities to come together.

We are committed to mitigating aging’s most harmful threats through our home-delivered meals, and senior centers. We provide community centers and safe spaces where women can network and learn to advocate for themselves and their families.

Home Delivered Meals

YWCA is proud of our partnership with Meals on Wheels to deliver nutritious meals and provide companionship to seniors. By delivering a nutritious meal, friendly visit, and safety check daily, our program combats three of aging’s most harmful threats: inadequate nutrition, isolation, and declining quality of life. YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix is the only Meals on Wheels program that serves the cities of Glendale and El Mirage. For more information on our Glendale or El Mirage programs, call 623.931.7436.

Community Centers

At community centers throughout Glendale, seniors benefit from nutritious meals, social activities, and companionship. Our senior centers provide life-enriching outreach to our growing population of low-income elderly. We run our programs at Glendale Community Center, Glendale Adult Center, Japanese American Citizen’s League, and our very own West Valley Senior Center.

YW Connections

YW Connections is a dynamic setting where leaders in the community can connect with one another, share strategies, and create support networks.

YW Connections hosts activities and conversations to advance the lives and careers of individuals including topics that explore how race and gender impact issues relevant to emerging professionals and leaders. YW Connections also serves our community through volunteer projects. YW Connections provides opportunities to network and collaborate with other like-minded leaders.

Professional Advisory Council

Our Professional Advisory Council includes financial planners who have pledged to create opportunities for their clients to create a lasting legacy through planned giving.
